Carcoar
has a number of active community groups that run major projects in the
town. Most meetings are held at the School of Arts.
School
of Arts Hall Committee

The
Carcoar School of Arts was built in 1901 and is a centre for many village
activities. Capable of seating about 120 people, it is popular for wedding
receptions, meetings and concerts.For bookings, ring 6367 3054.
Historical
Society
Carcoar
& District Historical Society operates Stoke Stable Museum and historic
Carcoar Court House; conducts guided tours by appointment and provides
free 'walking tour' maps to the public; local history enquiries welcome.

The
Carcoar Show is held on the last Saturday in October each year at the

Village
Association
The
Village Association is the umbrella body for community organisations in
the town. Its major activity is the annual Australia
Day Fair. It also communicates with local government regarding

Shalom
The
old Catholic school, Mt St Joseph's is now an ecumenical prayer house

Uralba
Aged Care Hostel
An aged care hostel was established next to the old Uralba
