Carcoar Media Centre - School of Arts
Filming in Carcoar of Bryce Courtney's Jessica - Mini Series
The School of Arts Committee was successful in accessing a sustainability grant from the NSW Government and with has installed state of the art projection and sound equipment. With connections to TV, internet and an ability to play all types of film and media, the Carcoar Media Centre will cater for a multitude of different uses. The Media Centre was officially opened by State Member Mr. Paul O'Toole on the 19th November, 2012.
Red Dog
The Australian Award winning movie was shown on Saturday, 3rd December, 2011 to a capacity audience.
Sporting Events
Visting lecturers / experts for discussion and supper or drinks and nibbles etc.
The big extra in music, entertainment for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions.
Schools - Australian History field trips, connecting the regions primary schools
TAFE/University, off site lecture facilities
Private business - Enterprise training
Movie Nights
1 per month (third Friday) Old fashioned format of cartoons followed by local newsreel, interval with drinks and nibbles and the feature film.
2 per year Children's Cinema - cartoon reel followed by G rated feature film with appropriate food and drinks.
Film Festivals
4 per year Westerns, Comedies, Italian, French, the Carcoar films - with related food on offer.
