Stoke Stable Museum

DCP_0356

On the corner of Naylor Street and Stoke Lane stands what is believed to be one of the oldest remaining building in Carcoar. Stoke Stable was built from random stone in the 1840s by convicts as an outbuilding for the nearby Stoke Hotel.

Today it houses an interesting collection of items related to Carcoar's past. The display is on public view on most days.

A closer inspection of the collection can be arranged by visiting Old Bakery Collectables adjacent to the Museum or by appointment. Contact Brian Griffiths 6367 3173
