The General Store (and Emporium) in Carcoar was built in 1851 and its largely intact original cedar fittings give the shop a wonderful sense of times past. Some of the many lines for sale include groceries, fruit and veg, drinks, ice creams, souvenirs, newspapers deli items and antiques,  in fact just about anything you could want.


The shop is open every  day except Christmas. The store is operated by Colleen Howarth.Phone 6367 3085

Old Bakery Collectables

Housed in the former Butchers and then Bakery is eclectic range of antiques, collectables and old wares including china, pottery, glassware, furniture, kitchenalia, paintings and prints and old tools.  There is also a range handmade wooden homewares and furniture.  Wooden items can be made to order.

Open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm and every second Wednesday as well as Public Holidays.

Carcoar Pottery and Humming Alpaca

DSCF2244Carcoar Pottery is made locally by potter, Louise Purcell. Louise has been potting for 30 years and specialises in domestic and ornamental pottery and is regularly adding new and exciting pottery to her display which ranges from colourful and refined, to rustic and traditional. Each year sees something new being developed and this year Louise is working on a "flameware" range of Tajines and other cooking ware.
Located in the Historic Carcoar Court House and open on weekends and public holidays 10.30am to 4.00pm or by arrangement at other times.
